Acyl isothiocyanates and their functional derivatives (acyl thioureas acyl thiosemicarbazides) are an important group of organic compounds that widely used in the synthesis heterocycles chemistry as catalysts, ligands, colorimetric hemosensors, etc. In recent years, there has been increased interest towards this class promising biologically active compounds, especially since latest advances medicinal for them not sufficiently studied.
 The aim. To summarize systematize information last 10 years on methods biological activity substituted thiosemicarbazides.
 Materials methods. Web-tools finding scientific (Reaxys, Scopus, Google Scholar, ScienceResearch, SciFinder, Web Science, etc.).
 Results discussion. Literature sources related to thiosemicarbazides were systematized analyzed. main approaches formation these revealed: stepwise from carboxylic acids, through chlorides followed by nucleophilic addition amines or hydrazides acids ("one-pot synthesis"), directly parallel microwave using reagents. possibility use ligands complex with transition metal ions was discussed. review structures, namely antimicrobial, fungicidal, antitumor, antiviral, antifungal other activities detailazed.
